Ok, We start with like Simple tense in English
SIMPLE TENSE ( 1 )
- Kalimat berita or Affirmative sentence
Subject + Verb + Object …
Example :Cris makan sepiring nasi
means :Cris eats a plate of rice
- Kalimat menyangkal or Negative sentence
Subject + tidak + Verb + Object …
Ex : Cris tidak makan sepiring nasi
Cris doesn’t eat a plate of rice
Because in Indonesian, subject like he, se, it doesnt differ with other subject like in English, so “tidak” can means
“do not” or “does not” and the verb also will not added with “s” or “es”.
- Kalimat tanya menyangkal or Interrogative negative sentence
Tidakkah + Subject + Verb + Object …
Ex : Tidakkah Cris makan sepiring nasi ?
Does not Cris eat a plate of rice ?
Oh once more about “a”.”a” that is used in a phrase “a XXX of”, in Indonesian it means “seXXX”.
Ex :
- “a plate of …” means “sepiring …”
( plate in Indonesian means piring )
- “a bowl of …” means “semangkuk …”
( bowl = mangkuk )
I hope you enjoy these lessons, if you have any questions, corrections, dont be shy, just write a comment even when you just wanna practice it.
